With tan season well and truly upon us, false tanning experiences don’t always go to plan. But fear not! We’ve got you covered with our simple guide to help you achieve a streak free, professional tan.

1)      Choosing the wrong shade

Always make sure you have chosen the right tanning shade for your skin tone. If you have fair skin, we recommend choosing a light-medium shade – a feature of our Hydrating Jelly Tan. This way you can build your tan over a couple of days and achieve a natural subtle glow... perfect!

Gradual tanners are always best if you are worried about how dark your tan will go. This way you can judge your tanning process yourself. Problem solved.

Try our Gradual Tanning Lotions or Mists for best results.

2)      You’ve missed a few bits

For when you swore you got everywhere!  The best way to tackle this mishap is to use an exfoliator all over. Our Tan Be Gone Double Sided Exfoliating Mitt can help lightly exfoliate so your tan doesn’t disappear, but your patches do

Use the pink side for gentle exfoliation, and the purple side if you want a deeper exfoliation (for if you’ve really messed up).

3)      Dark hands, feet, knees and elbows

The most common of them all. We’ve most certainly all been here. With this tanning mistake, prevention is key.

Before tan application, it is important to moisturise, hands, feet, knees and elbows! This way it will dilute the solution so it doesn’t seep into cracks in these areas. Easy!

If the damage has already been done, our Charcoal Infused Tan Eraser Mitt, the eraser mitt of ALL eraser mitts, will do the job. It will eliminate the tan quickly, even in the most stubborn areas.

So, with this knowledge, you can glow on with your life with a realistic, streak-free natural tan.
