If youve had a fake tan disaster then this is a question that youll want to know the answer to! There are usually two reasons you want to remove fake tanone youve had a disaster when applying the fake tan and you want to remove it and quickor your fake tan is wearing off and your skin is looking lizard-like or patchy!
Dont worry help is at handSunkissed has recently launched the Sunkissed Exfoliating Tan Remover which tackles both problems. The dual use remover contains sloughing particles and a unique blend of fruit AHAs, known for their gentle chemical peel action. The combination formula works hard to remove unwanted tan from the skin.
Correcting a fake tan disaster
If you have had a fake tan disaster and want to remove streaks, use the Sunkissed Exfoliating Tan Remover within the first two hours after applying the tan to remove stains, patches and build-up. Obviously, this is easy if you are using the Sunkissed Instant Self Tanning Mousse because you can see streaks and build-up immediately.
If however you are using the Sunkissed Gradual Tanning Lotion you won't see any streaks until the active ingredient has already reacted staining the top layer of skin cells. In this instance complete removal is unlikely as you dont want to strip the top layer of your skin off! But it will significantly fade the colour so that it blends better with the rest of your tan.
To get the best results we recommend using the Sunkissed tan remover with an exfoliating mitt. Apply it to the skin and leave it for a moment or two as the AHAs settle on the skin, then using a firm circular motion rub the formulation over the skin until the streak has blended with the rest of the skin.
Top Tip: If you are worried about colour build-up or streaks (particularly around the drier and trickier areas like hands and knees) try applying a little moisturiser after application to dilute the colour and blend in.
